Slaying the Dragon of Prestige
Slaying The Dragon of Prestige is a series of works in praise of things widely considered mundane, routine, ordinary. It is a eulogy to the unspectacular and unglamorous, to activities, thoughts and feelings that promise neither prestige nor admiration.
The series evolved over the course of five months in 2024. It starts with the eponymous headpiece and ends with the demise of the Dragon.
All works are in oil and pencil on canvas grain paper (some with the addition of ink, black marker pen or sanguine pencil), 52 × 46 cm.
