Manuela Hübner
Manuela ‘Manu’ Hübner studied philosophy, literature and art history in Paris and Cambridge.
After obtaining a first-class BA Honours from Anglia Ruskin University, she completed a one-year program in painting and drawing, and several short courses in printing and traditional paper marbling techniques.
Mostly interested in the figurative, she makes the occasional foray into landscapes, still lives and sculpture.
Right-handed since childhood, Manu switched to her non-dominant hand in 2016.
For four years her artistic output was exclusively left-handed. Today she works with both hands.
Manu lived and worked in the UK for nearly 30 years.
She exhibited widely in the south-east of England, worked for the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, and led workshops as part of a collaborative prison art partnership supported by the University of Cambridge.
Manu currently lives in Berlin.
